CodeGeeks Joins the Planting Pixels Initiative for Reforestation

In January 15, 2025, the CSC-SOC led the Planting Pixels Initiative, a tree planting outreach held at Sitio Target, Sapangbato. The event, in partnership with the SOC Organization and Publication, aimed to promote environmental conservation, reforestation, and community involvement.
The initiative directly benefited the Abacan River and Angeles Watershed – Advocacy Council Inc. (ARAW-ACI), a non-profit organization working to protect water resources and restore ecosystems. By planting trees, volunteers contributed to improving air quality, preventing soil erosion, and enhancing biodiversity.
CodeGeeks’ Contribution to the Tree Planting Outreach

As part of its commitment to sustainability, CodeGeeks actively participated in the Planting Pixels Initiative. Representing the group were:
🌿 John Gabriel Perez – President
🌿 Ragie Almachar – Vice President
🌿 Jessica Hanschke – Financial Management Head
To further support the cause, CodeGeeks donated fruit-bearing trees, which will help the watershed by:
✅ Reducing soil erosion
✅ Providing food sources for wildlife
✅ Improving water retention in the area
