Spellbound: Freshmen Orientation and Student Activities Festival 2026

Code Geeks Freshmen Orientation 2026

A day filled with new faces and fun interactions!

On June 2, 2026, Code Geeks took part in Holy Angel University’s annual Freshmen Orientation and Student Activities Festival, themed SpellBound. Incoming students were excited to discover their new academic home. Meanwhile, our Code Geeks Spellbound 2026 booth served as a welcoming space for curiosity, creativity, and connection. As a result, first-year School of Computing students got a first look at what Code Geeks is all about.

This participation was spearheaded by Vice President Dannah Mikayla Sanchez and Finance Manager Angel Pineda. Together, our officers built and ran the Code Geeks booth from the ground up. The setup was decked out in the organization’s signature orange and blue. It featured handcrafted CG logo props, informational displays, and a vibrant backdrop. Overall, the design highlighted our focus on Web Development, from front-end design to full-stack development.

In addition, the rest of the officers played an equally important role. They helped prepare and run the booth throughout the day. As a result, every visitor had a great experience.

Highlights

Free stickers and pins at Code Geeks Spellbound 2026 booth
  • Free Pins & Stickers — Visitors who signed up for our pre-member registration received exclusive Code Geeks pins and stickers. It was a small welcome gift.
  • Freedom Wall — A freedom wall, decked with sticker paper, gave freshmen a chance to leave their mark. It was a simple but personal way to join the event’s story.
  • Photo Booth — Our photo booth gave freshmen a spot to pose. They could take home a memorable photo from the day.

Beyond the activities, our officers talked with every interested student. They explained what Code Geeks does and what programs and opportunities we offer. They also shared why Web Development is a skill worth building early.

Throughout the day, a steady stream of freshmen visited our booth. Some were drawn in by curiosity, others by the free stickers. Many stayed to genuinely learn more about the organization. The energy was high, and the conversations were great. By the end of the event, we had connected with far more incoming students than we expected.

We are grateful to every freshman who stopped by, signed up, or simply said hello. Code Geeks Spellbound 2026 reminded us why we do what we do: to build a community where the next generation of tech students feels welcome from day one.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited and participated. We also thank our officers for their hard work in making this booth possible. We look forward to seeing new faces become familiar ones in the months to come — and to seeing them at our upcoming events.
