On Thursday, July 25th, web development enthusiasts gathered virtually via Microsoft Teams for an insightful HTML CSS Coding Workshop for the INTROWEB Prelim Review Session, hosted by CodeGeeks. This engaging event aimed to help participants refine their skills in HTML and CSS, making it a must-attend session for beginners and aspiring web developers. With interactive coding exercises, expert-led discussions, and a strong sense of collaboration, the session turned out to be a huge success!

Kicking Off the Session
The event officially commenced at 7:10 PM, with a warm welcome from Ragie (Vice-President) and Cedric (Acads and Research Officer). They introduced the objectives of the session and ensured that attendees were comfortable with the event being recorded for future reference. Their enthusiastic introduction set the tone for an engaging learning experience.

HTML CSS Coding Workshop

Understanding the Internet

The HTML CSS Coding Workshop the session began with Cedric’s insightful lecture on the fundamentals of the Internet. He covered essential topics such as:

  • The basic definition and function of the Internet Key Internet protocols
  • Differences between a website and a webpage

His clear and concise explanations provided attendees with a solid foundation in web development concepts.

HTML CSS Coding Workshop: Code Along

After Cedric’s lecture, Arianne (Acads and Research Staff) took over to lead a hands-on HTML and CSS code-along session. Participants followed along as she demonstrated:

  • HTML structure and syntax
  • CSS styling techniques
  • How to create and style web pages effectively

Attendees actively participated in this interactive session, gaining practical experience in coding and styling webpages in real time.

Wrapping Up & Closing Remarks

As the session approached its end, Ragie delivered the closing remarks, thanking everyone for their participation.
