This seminar aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, giving students a solid foundation in the world of web design. Led by a seasoned IT web developer with years of hands-on experience, the session covered key design principles such as user-centered design, responsive layouts, accessibility, and the importance of performance optimization. Students were introduced to fundamental tools and technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which are the backbone of web development.Β

The primary objective of the seminar was to provide a comprehensive and detailed orientation on web design principles from a professional IT web developer with extensive real-world experience. The goal was to ensure that students would become familiar with these techniques early on and be able to apply them as soon as possible, enabling them to understand what to expect and to become aware of the standards in designing, which will enhance their skills and awareness.

A major focus was placed on the process of creating user-friendly and visually appealing websites. The seminar emphasized the importance of crafting intuitive navigation, clear layouts, and engaging content that aligns with the needs of the target audience. In addition, students learned how to design with accessibility in mind, ensuring that websites are usable by individuals with varying abilities and devices. The session also covered the significance of mobile-first design, given the increasing prevalence of mobile devices and the need for websites to adapt seamlessly across various screen sizes.

Beyond the technical aspects, the seminar highlighted the importance of understanding the business and creative side of design. Students were encouraged to think about the overall user experience and how design decisions can impact site performance, conversions, and customer satisfaction.

By the end of the seminar, students had a clear understanding of industry standards and best practices, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to approach web design projects with confidence.
